Brief History: Matt was only nine when his mother passed away, the second oldest of seven. He tried to help his older brother Mark out in any way he could, wholeheartedly believing they needed to stick together. Mark was grateful for the help, but refused to drag Matt into his less than legal activities. Instead he set Matt to singing for his supper, in subways, on street corners, in cafès, anywhere he could. From a very young age Matt had been in love with music, listening to his father’s classic rock records for hours on end. He started out singing covers of these songs he knew by heart, but after Mark splurged on a birthday gift, buying him a second-hand guitar and some lesson books Matt taught himself to play and began writing his own songs. The young teen became the talk of the town, and at 17 he was discovered and offered a record deal. He became an almost instant heartthrob, and like Mark, used the money he made to ensure his younger siblings’ futures, finally getting them educations and a stable home life. He spends much of his time touring or in the recording studio nowadays, but he will not hesitate to drop everything and come home if needed, especially if whatever it is involves his closest brother, Maverick.

Personality: Matt is a player. He loves ladies and they love him. He is also a giant kid at heart, and loves to let his inner child shine through. Always smiling, nothing makes Matt happier than seeing those around him having fun and getting along. Conflict stresses him out. He is a people person and hates to be alone. When he gets upset, he tends to sulk like a child throwing a tantrum. He is very loyal, despite the fact that he is known for his many lovers, he has never been unfaithful, when he is with someone, he is with that person only until the relationship is over. That being said, however, Matt is a strong optimist and occasionally misses ulterior motives that others notice in favor of his happy outlook on life. He is also a prankster, and loves jokes.

Strengths: Matt is loyal and caring. He is also very private, managing to keep much of his personal life out of the public eye despite a decade of stardom. He is good at blending in the shadows, never challenge him to a game of hide and seek. He would bend over backwards to help someone in need, and has a talent for bringing smiles to the faces of those around him.
Weaknesses: Matt's sunny disposition can sometimes get him in trouble when he forgets that not everyone is as open and honest as he is. He takes things at face value and is not very suspicious, making it easy to deceive and hurt him. Matt does not handle isolation or conflict well, becoming sulky and throwing tantrums. When you hurt Matt's feelings or trick him, he can take it personally and can hold a grudge. Fortunately an honest apology is generally all that is needed to snap him out of his funk. He is also terrified of dogs, having been bitten by a stray as a boy, and he has the scar on the back of his thigh to prove it.

Description: Matt has a single tattoo on his left breast over his heart. It is of a shadowy monster clutching a bleeding heart with a banner saying "Familia ante ceteros" at the bottom. It matches a tattoo his brother Mariah has, they went out and got it together before Matt's first world tour.
